Gestalt Principals found on Mercer's Campus

We use paper everyday and we usually do not pay attention to the details of it. When I had to find Gestalt principals on Mercer's campus, a piece of paper was the perfect thing. The lines on the piece of paper represent continuation and repetition. Also, someone could say that the lines are part of the Gestalt principal of proximity.

Repetition of Form in Advertisement

In this Coca-Cola Advertisement for the Olympics, they use repetition of form. Here they use five of their bottles beside each other with the same colors on the bottle. This repetition demonstrates the unity in the advertisement which helps the viewers to better remember the advertisement.

Nature Inspired Design

This bicycle was designed after a praying mantis. When you look at this bike, you automatically associate the bike with the praying mantis. The praying mantis is a majestic creature that is slick and full of beauty. The creator of this bike wanted to convey that slickness and beauty in his bike so he modeled it after the praying mantis.

Blog #1

This advertisement from Burger King is a good example of design. The visual organizations is a masterpiece in this picture. They wanted the picture to make you crave their hamburgers. By implementing the words to make up the shape of the hamburger, it makes the viewer think about the hamburger even more. The words are read by the viewer and they are automatically associated with the picture of the Burger King hamburger. The content is straightforward allowing the viewer to clearly understand the reason for the advertisement. The form is so creative, it will help the viewer to easily remember the advertisement which is the main goal of Burger King. There is no lack of communication in this picture which makes it such a quality example of design.
